This week marked my last twitter activity. I made 5 tweets on the problem of human-elephant conflicts and solutions by quoting from my AP project. For example, "The main problems faced by elephant species include habitat loss, poaching, drought, and famine. As a result, elephant populations in Africa have decreased from a reported 12 million a century ago to about 400,000 today" and "In the long run, WWF partners with stakeholders and policymakers to tackle the root causes of conflicts, like loss of habitat, unplanned land use, and degradation, to reduce human-wildlife disputes". I have summarized the problem and solution that I found on Twitter. This way people can have a quicker and more efficient look at my work. I also made 5 tweets on #whatilearnedin39c. I have learned so much in this writing class under the circumstance of pandemic. For example, "I learned how to interact with my classmates on Twitter and from website" and "I learned how to analyze a long and boring professional scholar article and use it in my essay. All you have to do is break parts of the article and analyze carefully". In addition, I retweeted my followers' twitters. Some of them are about ocean noises, dolphin rescue, and forest elephants. I have learned so many interesting data and facts from twitter just by searching #39canimals. I also followed 10 more accounts for future research. They are @seatheocean, @cbmwc, and @cleansailars.
Twitter is the best social media for education and learning. This is a platform that I can share my learning to everyone in the world. I have never thought we could use social media for school work. I always used them for chatting and photo sharing. Now I realized it is important to use the right social media. And Twitter is definitely the best for research and learning. I will continue to use Twitter once 39c is over. I will use it for later research and schoolwork.
