I am currently located in China. In this Covid-19 and remote classes surreal situation, I have learned how to keep track of time and classes. Especially due to different time zone, I had to get up in the middle of the night to attend zoom meetings. Having a nice daily schedule helps organizations and deadlines. I wouldn’t say my writing skills are perfect. But my writing skills are getting better after each writing class. I do better in skim reading than close reading. I have done research when I was in high school. But I wish I could gain improvement on my research in this class.
I found that different species have their unique customs the most interesting. Also, different species can form friendships surprised me. I have always known the pattern of lions and hyenas in hunting, but I never thought to compare these animals together. The custom norm for hyenas is matrilineal — families ruled by the mothers. But the custom norm for lions is reverse. So I start to think of them as a separate society where each has a unique cultural norm. Besides, I think that animals can develop strong friendship bonds really sweet, even two are from different species. It makes me think that even animals can befriend other “races”, then why can’t humans all live in peace with other “races”.

I was at the restaurant waiting for food.

Hello Phoebe,
I never thought about animals being able to develop strong friendships with other species. Your scenario about lions and hyenas have changed my thoughts towards animals.
Hi Phoebe! I'm also currently living in China and I share the same "pain" feeling with you. Time control is definitely the most effective way to keep track of all the works.
